Ms. Elizabeth Hines, Head Coach Girls
Elizabeth Hines is a native of Meridian, MS where she lived until moving to Iuka. She is the daughter of George and Glenda Thomas and the proud parent of 3 amazing kids: Cassidy Glebe (Kyle), Tyler, and CJ. She is also the grandmother of Rhett Owen Glebe. Elizabeth is a graduate from Meridian High School (2000), EMCC (2003 AA degree-Liberal Arts), USM (2005 BA degree-general theatre), and MUW (2021 MFA-Creative Writing/playwriting). While at EMCC she served as drum major and was also on the Lady Lions soccer team. She started her career in education in 2006 and is currently employed by Tishomingo County High School as an English and theatre teacher and the head soccer coach for the girls team. She was previously the head girls coach at Meridian High School and at Quitman Consolidated School District where she was head coach for both the boys and girls soccer teams. She has also served as head coach for high school dance and debate teams. Elizabeth is currently a board member of the Mississippi Theatre Association and was recently elected president of Mississippi Repertory Theatre. In 2021, she added the title of published author to her résumé after her short story “One Last Text” was published in “Step Into the Fifth Dimension”, a sci-if anthology. In January of 2021, she, and her son CJ, moved to Iuka and began their transition to becoming North Mississippi residents.
